Portsmouth Trojans

I did these backpacks for my nephews tonight. Carson will be a 3rd grader tomorrow and Zander starts Kindergarten (😭) next week. The school made a policy that all students have to have clear backpacks this year so in addition to making them look not so plain, I personalized them so they can be able to tell them apart from everyone else's(there's several kids that share the same names in their school). Carson picked out his pencil case and is excited about it because it's got a holographic tiger. He knew I was adding something to his backpack and headphones, but didn't know I was adding something to his pencil case. I hope he's excited when he wakes up in the morning and sees it. 💙

Plant Portsmouth, World Record Set!

On August 18, 2018, our hometown set a world record and excitedly, a few did it in hard hats made by me! I was so fortunate to be able to make these hats for this event and I am proud of our town!

During this event, 1,405 people set a Guinness World Record for most people potting a plant simultaneously! It's more than planting plants, it's about planting our city on the map in a positive way. Before the actual world record happened, many volunteers set out in the streets of downtown Portsmouth to do renovations. There were painters, power washers, people picking up trash, planting and mulching flower beds. It was a great turnout!
